Your Instructor: Peter Haas


@Peter_Haas is a Providence RI based entrepreneur, writer and maker. His work with AIDG has been featured in Fast Company, Popular Mechanics, NPR, Discover, Forbes and other news outlets. He was a 2006 Echoing Green Fellow, a 2008 Waldzell Institute Architect of the Future, and a 2010 TED Senior Fellow. He spent 10 years working in Guatemala and Haiti with his Social Enterprise AIDG. In addition to his work in design for extreme affordability and SME support in emerging markets he is a Roboticist with experience in AI, Computer Vision and Cyber security. He was the Associate Director of the Brown University Humanity Centered Robotics Initiative. He has lectured on international development at Brown, Duke, MIT, Yale and other universities. He has given talks at TED Global, the World Bank and the Economist World Gala among other events.
